If we compare these two speakers w.r.t design, Mivi Roam 2 is a little ahead of boAt Stone 260. While Mivi Roam 2 is made of metal mesh with a cuboidal design, boAt 260 is circular one which is slim. However, boAt Stone 260 is 23% heavier than Mivi Roam 2.
boAt has made it of durable silicon and rubber matter finish which guarantees durability. The carabiner attached to the speaker makes it perfect to travel outdoors without going bulky.
Though Mivi has not revealed the exact waterproof rating, boAt Stone 260 offers better protection from water with its IPX5 rated splash proof design. One more difference between the two is you can play songs with the help of AUX cable in Mivi Roam 2 but not with boAt 260 speaker.

In terms of sound quality, boAt Bluetooth speakers are always my favorite. Despite being a slightly smaller driver size than what Mivi Roam 2 has, it is ahead in bass quality. It is so deep and punchy that the music often distorts.
But Mivi Roam 2 is not too behind in terms of bass. Is it still worth it at this price point? Yes! it produces decent amount of bass & crystal clear sound.
None of the two have an FM function. However, you can insert MicroSD in boAt Stone 260 and stream music offline. The same is not possible for Mivi Roam 2 since it doesn’t have a MicroSD card slot.

Hence for longer listening hours, Mivi Roam is preferred over Stone 260. All this has become possible with the 2000 mAh giant battery inside it.
However, there is a catch. Such a big battery takes about 3 – 4 hours to fully charge. At the same time, boAt 260 takes half of what Mivi Roam 2 takes for 100% charge with the Micro USB cable. If battery backup is important to you, don’t go with boAt Stone 260.
